Anirudh Raghuram is a freshman at Cardiff University, pursuing International Relations and Politics. He has many feathers in his cap as he has attended 28 MUNs, a number that is certainly noteworthy. Having served on the dais several times, Anirudh as a person is very affable and someone that you can count on as every activity he takes up is completed with immense precision. Having great interest in finance and economics, he is someone you would describe as a creative capitalist. Killing leisure time is not a mind-breaking situation for him as he catches up on his dose of reading and is highly indebted to Netflix for providing him with some drama and knowledge. He also indulges in photography as and when time permits. Having chaired several MUNs, he goes on to say that chairing the Harvard MUN, China was a notable experience for him and one that will be etched in his memory forever. He boarded the MUN Express in 2013 where his first stop was at the P.S. MUN Conference, which was special, he adds. He describes his overall experience as one which is knowledgeable and addictive which made him go back for more.
Yash Kothari is pleased to be your Assistant Director for the ECOFIN at OakMUN 2018. MUNs have played a huge role in developing his confidence as well as creating an interest in learning more about the world around him. Over the past few years, macroeconomics has been one of his favorite areas of research and he hopes to put that to good use at this conference. Apart from MUNning, he takes interest in playing basketball, as well as reading books (David Baldacci and Jeffrey Archer are a few of his favorite authors). He is extremely excited to be a part of the Executive Board for OakMUN 2018 and is sure the conference will be a mega success. He wishes all the delegates the best of luck and is looking forward to witnessing good debate in committee.
